ever had one of those weeks where nothing seems to be going in your direction? everything seems like they're going against you? frustrations keep piling on? concerns keep popping up? the things you love suddenly don't seem to love you back? and everything is just one of those things that unfortunately takes time to fix? and you can't stop thinking about it for the life of you?
it's just been one of those weeks.
luckily, B told me a story today... there once was a plane that crashed into andes mountains. after lots of detective work, nothing seemed to be wrong with the plane, except for one thing. the light bulb that indicated whether or not the landing gear was in proper order was burnt out. the light bulb was out, but the landing gear still worked. the pilots were so worried about that little light bulb they lost track of where they were and crashed, killing hundreds.
moral of the story: don't let one thing get you so off track that you crash.
just what i needed. this doesn't mean those things don't matter to me anymore or that i'll stop thinking about it, but it does mean that something this small won't make me crash and i can focus on other things.
'the mel nash story' hmmmmm, I think to myself, "pretty sure I knew a mel nash back in the day. yeah, a killer lax player, blonde bombshell...#33..." and bam! there you are! so glad I saw your blog - congrats on being engaged (is that right? don't laugh anyone else reading this, it's been a while)
