Sunday nights are my favorite nights of the week. We usually go over to my grandparents house for Sunday night visits. All my aunts, uncles and cousins meet there where we sit on the carpet and munch on wheat thins, popcorn, crystal light, and some kind of pie that my Grandma heats up from Marie Calendar's.
Last night, B and I were the last to leave and as we were headed out Grandma Bonnie lovingly grilled us about school, work, lacrosse and other aspects of life. I said something about wanting to graduate and just be done with school. Then Grandma shot back with something that really caught my attention...
"ENJOY LIFE NOW. Don't wait for things to be done and over before you start enjoying life. Live in the moment. Don't count the days until graduation... Count the laughs and memories every day. I always used to wish that medical school would just be over, that we could be done and move back to Salt Lake. But boy, I wish I could have those days back." - Grandma Bonnie
So it might be hard (especially thinking that I have three tests and one paper due this week) but I am going to enjoy school and live in the NOW.
You should too.
And here's some pictures... just for fun.
I LOVE the advise from your Grandma. It made me smile reading it. Just remember school=playing lacrosse.
