Wanna know a great way to start a long day? Get a ticket.
The past week I've been staying at my aunt and uncle's house while they're in Hawaii (where unlike Utah, it's above 10 degrees and sunny). On my early morning drive to take Nic (the 14 year-old) to school I was speeding, like usual. Cause who doesn't wanna get to where they're going a little bit faster?
Well, a friendly patrol man pulled me over.
Why was I speeding? Because I've heard that if you drive faster, the heater works faster. And it was 8 degrees. And both of us were wearing shorts.
How fast was I going? 37 in a 25. I was really cold.
I even pulled the "This is my Grandparent's car, cause mine died yesterday and I'm just trying to get my cousin to school..." sympathy card.
There was no sympathy from this donut eater.
I got a ticket. But he only marked me for going 30 in a 25. I guess that's a little sympathy, just not quite enough.
Moral of the story. If my aunt and uncle had just taken me to Hawaii I would not have gotten a ticket. Also, frostbite might be a better option than speeding.
That is bad news. See you tonight!
